A lifelong resident of Pittsburgh, PPS parent and long-time advocate for the youth in our region, Carlos Thomas is running for school board because he believes in a transparent process in which community members are well-informed about their students and schools with a seat at the table to be heard.

Through his workforce development experience, Carlos has created pathways for our students to succeed. Carlos is a dedicated father and is respected within the community for his engagement with Pittsburgh's youth; as a wrestling coach, Carlos has developed and built collaborative support programs to help prepare students to make post-secondary decisions.

Our students and families deserve a seat at a table. When elected to the Pittsburgh Public Schools School Board, Carlos will fight for the inclusion of all students, parents, and staff in the future of local education.
